Job Title: Swimming Pool Civil Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Swimming Pool Civil Engineer to join our team and oversee the civil engineering aspects of swimming pool construction projects. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing the construction of swimming pool structures and related facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:Develop conceptual and detailed designs for swimming pool structures, including pool shells, decks, foundations, and retaining walls.
Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and specifications in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate civil engineering designs into overall pool layouts. - Site Investigation and Analysis:Conduct site surveys and geotechnical investigations to assess soil conditions, groundwater levels, and site suitability for swimming pool construction.
Analyze site data and information to identify potential challenges, risks, and opportunities for design optimization. - Construction Management:Coordinate and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor progress, productivity, and safety on-site, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and adherence to construction plans. - Material Selection and Procurement:Select appropriate construction materials, finishes, and coatings for swimming pool structures based on durability, performance, and aesthetic considerations.
Source suppliers and vendors for construction materials and equipment, and manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance. - Permitting and Compliance:Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for swimming pool construction projects.
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements throughout the construction process.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address permitting issues and resolve compliance issues as needed. - Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
Prepare progress reports, construction schedules, and cost estimates for project stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation upon project completion.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in civil engineering design and construction, with a focus on structural and site development projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
