Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial data.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Prepare and review budgets and financial forecasts, providing recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances and making recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and the maintenance of proper documentation.
- Stay current on accounting principles and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to track progress towards goals and make data-driven decisions.
- Forecast and track key account metrics, such as revenue and retention rates, to inform strategic planning.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the client experience and exceed their expectations with innovative solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
- Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Certifications: CPA certification preferred.
- Industry of work experience: Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Years of work experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Nationality preference: No preference.
- Language requirements: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Technical and hard skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Personal qualities and physical abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience as an account manager or in a similar client-facing role.
