Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial data.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Prepare and review budgets and financial forecasts, providing recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and the maintenance of proper documentation.
  • Stay current on accounting principles and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to track progress towards goals and make data-driven decisions.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, such as revenue and retention rates, to inform strategic planning.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the client experience and exceed their expectations with innovative solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
  • Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Certifications: CPA certification preferred.
  • Industry of work experience: Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Years of work experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Nationality preference: No preference.
  • Language requirements: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Technical and hard skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Personal qualities and physical abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience as an account manager or in a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and objectives.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
