Lead the assigned team to execute periodical Market Intelligence categories assessment and align MI
strategy with overall Procurement Division strategies and category management processes.
? Liase with category management staff to understand planned activities within category and adjust
work accordingly. Responsible of creating Market Intelligence report.
? Generate and review periodic reporting on market and category trends, supplier monographs and cost
structures.
? Supervise the communication between Market Intelligence team, End Users and Procurement
Division on all categories and MI data. Resolve issues and adhere to company policies to ensure smooth
interaction between all Stakeholders.
? Present Market Intelligence deliverables to Stakeholders and Senior Management.
? Support Commercial Division in establishing category strategy, tender strategies and commercial
evaluations by providing insights and recommendation through extensive supplier market
understanding.
? Manage the bidder list for various categories and type of the material procured
Identify and develop alternative vendors with the objective of reducing the lead time,
mitigating risk, optimizing cost of sourcing. Maintain and update the information regarding various
international pricing index related to material and spares used/ procured
Forecast the price index movement and support management in making the material ordering/
purchasing decisions there by optimizing the cost of procurement.
? Stay abreast of any material and procurement related new regulations and guidelines and inform
other department manager in time to incorporate suitable changes in procurement policies and material
supply contracts.
Cost Control and Optimization
? Monitor spend analysis for various categories of material. Identify high spend categories and develop
and propose alternative sourcing strategies, substitute material etc. to minimize the sourcing and
inventory cost.
? Assessment of market conditions to provide a high-level overview of the supply market, including key
suppliers, market capacity, competency, characteristics and trends to develop strategies that maximizes
business value for the Company.
New Vendor Development
? Research and identify pre-qualified bidder at different location/ regions to localize the procurement
there by leading to reduction in material sourcing cost, lead time etc.
