Execute the MCAD request (Materials Creation, Amendment and Deletion) for spare parts, general materials, capital, insurance and project materials as per company materials master data governance policy and procedure.
Apply proper engineering standards are observed in all procurement activities related to Maintenance Repair and operational spares, and general materials.
Review spare part interchangeability record (SPIR), carry out verification, identify the buyout spares, scrutinize, provide technical clarifications, undertake technical evaluation and recommend for procurement.
Develops Bill of materials, assess critically of spares. Selects materials as per services and recommends alternatives. Carries out technical study and recommend alternate materials.
Evaluate technical offers for regularly replenished stock materials or newly added spares, resolves technical queries during procurement of materials. Coordinates with end user in the technical evaluation process.
Identifies missing information in the spare parts database, collect data from engineering packages and other sources carry out contents cleansing and updating.
Reports the performance of Cataloguing applications, ERP systems and related software applications and proposes enhancement idea with IT division for action.
Participates in equipment review and proposed new solutions alerts on standardization, obsolescence of equipment and spare. Determine spare parts critically and define necessary rules and analysis required for best maintenance type for each system.
Explore and evaluates new sources of supply. Interviews supplier representatives and continually endeavours to keep abreast of developments that influence procurement procedures and practices.
Develop alternative specification and alternative sources to enhance catalogue with acceptable materials specification and sources in order to reduce monopoly by single source suppliers.
Coordinate with End users, Maintenance Departments and manufacturers to assist in identifying all hazardous substances and modification of their buying description to comply with the relevant safety standards, clauses and codes of practice in accordance with the international safety regulations.
To develop and control Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) central library for all Hazardous Materials
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/Instrumentation engineering
8 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry in Materials engineering and cataloguing
Excellent computer skill is a must- Spreadsheet and Database including working experience in ERP and cataloguing system (MAXIMO/ORACLE/SAP) is required.
