6 years overall experience in similar field in Oil & Gas Industries.
Generic familiarity with projects equipment / materials major components / usage, capability in identifying fabrication bottlenecks and programs analysis to give inputs to recommendation for better performance, knowledge and experience in overall materials procurement aspects, fabrication programs interpretation and analysis, progress verification and reporting, awareness to some familiarity with other fabrication aspects such as VENDORS’ quality surveillance and shipping major related procedures and methods for projects in oil & gas chemical industries with multi interfaces with engineering and other involved disciplines,
Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.

Purpose
Jobs at this level serve as a member of execution team and considered a senior level specialist with the expediting group. The senior expeditor is responsible for high value and complexity tasks.
Accountabilities
Carry out all EXPEDITING activities for critical path material and equipment, this includes but not limited to all activities as detailed in the Project expeditor accountabilities, addition:
Perform complex tasks associated with the day-to-day follow-up, problem solving,
Organize / participate in the Kick-Off Meeting (K.O.M.)
Determine the causes of delays and immediately report findings plus recommendation to the project so that possible solutions can be proposed and relayed back to the VENDOR
Ensure that VENDOR’S bills of materials “BOM” are released, sub-orders placed, and orders expedited and received within a time frame that will support the VENDOR’S manufacturing schedule.
Issue critical items report on a weekly basis to summarize activities and status of most critical orders to the project’s progress.
Help find solutions to problems and initiate action that will eliminate or minimize any schedule delay.
Protest in all schedule delays.
Follow up with both NPCC and VENDOR engineering aggressively to see those problems are identified and resolved promptly.
Follow the VENDOR’S material acquisition phase of an Order to help eliminate shortages.
Alert for signs of labour problems in VENDOR’S plants.
Check first issue of drawings, engineering documents and other non-material requirements necessary for Project to proceed with detailed Engineering
Perform Field EXPEDITING.
Issue area assignments in order to follow or spot check certain materials
Review Area EXPEDITING reports for content, completeness, and appropriateness and ensure follow-up action on items.
Initiate milestone completion certificate for progress and final payments
Maintaining an effective working relationship with all members of NPCC and interfacing organizations
Ensure that VENDOR’S schedule includes time for disassembly, cleaning and preparation for shipment
Participate in the overall VENDOR performance evaluation.

Evaluate production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if their programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements.
