Specialized tasks:-
? Managing the process of applying appropriate due diligence, analyzing and approving investment proposals from entities operating in the energy sector, with a focus on alignment with the sector’s strategic objectives, return on investment (ROI) and investment timelines. Review, approve and monitor power generation, desalination and network investments.
? Supervising investment proposals and capital projects in the energy sector, and ensuring that projects are compatible with the sector’s overall strategy. Review, approve and monitor power generation, desalination and network investments.
? Responsible for assessing the financial health and capacity of new license applicants and proposed flat tariffs for Independent Power and Water Producers (IWPPs), Independent Wastewater Treatment Plants (ISTPs), and District Cooling Service Providers.
? Develop and adopt appropriate financial frameworks and methodologies for use by new license applicants.
